Karnataka: Six Ram Sena members held for hoisting Pak flag to create communal riots
Bangalore: The Karnataka police have arrested six members of the youth wing of the Ram Sena in connection with the hoisting of a Pakistani flag at the Sindgi town in Bijapur.
There was large scale damage as a result of the violence that erupted. A bandhcall too was given by the Sri Ram Sene and also the Bajrang Dal.It was alleged that some miscreants had hoisted a Pakistan flag over the Tahsildar's office. As a result of this incident, there was violence in this area on January 1.
Superintendent of Police D C Rajappa has confirmed that all the arrested were the members of the student wing of Sri Ram Sene.
The accused have been identified as Rajesh Siddaramaiah Matha, Arun Vagmore , Parashu Rama Vagmore , Sunil Madivalappa Agasar, Eshwar Navi and Mallana Gowda Vijaya Kumar Patil.
It is alleged that the incident was a conspiracy of Sri Ram Sene, which wanted to create communal tension in the town.

Bangalore: Popular Front of India, Bangalore staged a protest today here at Mysore Road Circle, Shivaji Nagar, MS Palya against hoisting of Pakistan flag by Sri Ramsene and RSS activists at Tahashildar's office, Sindhagi in Bijapur.
The protesters condemned the anti national act of the Sri Ramsene and RSS activist.
They alleged that these elements had planned to provoke communal Riots at Sindhagi and Surrounding areas and then to put the blame on the minority community. Due to the prompt and through investigation of the concerned Police officers the truth has came out and exposed the evil intention and hands who are trying to spread hatred among other communities.

Adv. Muhammed Shareef inaugurating the seminar against AFSPA and UAPA
Kochi: Popular Front of India's seminar against AFSPA and UAPA opined that silence from the part of civil society towards black laws is dangerous. The public should come forward and show courage to fight these undemocratic laws in a democratic manner, said Adv. K P Muhammed Shareef, General Secretary, NCHRO. He was inaugurating the seminar held to mark the International Human Rights Day here.
It has become common for the people and political parties to keep mum when the authorities enact draconian laws and later to shed tears in the name of human rights violations.
What the political parties do now regarding the case of Abdul Nasir Mahdani is just an eye wash. Though black laws like TADA and POTA were repealed, thousands of innocent people are still suffering in their name. Black laws are used by those in power to put any citizen behind bars at their will. Most often those people who are fighting against the wrong doings of the Governments are made victims of these laws. The case against Mahdani and the police raj against those who are implicated in the case of attack against a professor who had insulted Prophet Muhammed are ample evidences for the state terrorism using black laws, he added.
Ruling class resorts to black laws to suppress agitations against the human rights violations done by the state said Adv. Madhusudanan, Director of Law Centre. Even the resistance to secure one's existence is being treated as terrorist act and dealt accordingly, he added.
Popular Front State General Secretary P Abdul Hameed, Adv. Rafeeq Kuttikattur, Popular Front District Secretary T M Moosa also spoke at the seminar.

Sangh Parivar playing pressure tactics to freeze terrorist cases

New Delhi / 21 December 2011 : Popular Front of India Chairman Mr. E. M. Abdul Rahiman in a statement issued here today pointed out that the real motive of BJP behind targeting Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram is to freeze the ongoing investigations about the terrorist bomb blasts in which Sangh Parivar outfits and their leaders are involved. The statement observed that the recent slowdown of the investigation procedure that has earlier pin pointed the role of RSS National Executive Committee member Mr. Indresh Kumar in terrorist blasts and the RSS involvement in the murder of Sunil Joshi, was proof that Sangh Parivar pressure tactics were producing desired results.
The NIA and other investigation agencies have exposed the role of RSS central leadership in the recent incidents of terror such has Malegaon, Mecca Masjid, Ajmer and Samjotha Express. It is shocking that they have constituted a core group to carry out blasts across the country and entrusted the task of executing the same to its National Committee member Mr. Indresh Kumar. But surprisingly the investigating agencies have not yet arrested him. Due to the pressure being mounted upon the investigation agencies a further breakthrough in all the 16 terror cases, in which Hindutva outfits and leaders were put under scanner, remains a distant possibility.
The BJP and their allies are irked by the fact that most of these exposures came after Mr. Chidambaram took over the charge as Union Home Minister. He was courageous enough to call a spade a spade and to identify the Hindutva forces behind the serial blasts. Hence they could not leave the present Home Minister unless until he at least relinquish the present portfolio. Mr. E. M. Abdul Rahiman requested the secular party leaders in the opposition to keep a vigil on the communal agenda of RSS and BJP, even while expressing their no compromise to corruption and nepotism.
