فرقہ واریت' ایک دوسری اصطلاح ہے جس کو جاہلی میڈیا اپنے بے شمار اغراض کے لئے نہایت کامیابی کے ساتھ برتتا ہے۔ شرک سے روکیں تو آپ 'فرقہ واریت' کے مرتکب! بدعات کے خلاف آواز اٹھائیں تو آپ 'فرقہ واریت' کے داعی! خرافات ا ور انحرافات کے خلاف جنگ کا علم اٹھائیں، تاکہ اِس امت کا احیاءہو اور یہ اپنے تاریخی مقام پر از سر نو فائز ہو، تو آپ پر 'فرقہ واریت' کا الزام۔۔۔۔! 'فرقہ واریت' کا لیبل گویا ایک لٹھ ہے جو ہر داعیِ اصلاح کے سر پر دے ماری جاتی ہے اور بڑے بڑے 'سمجھ دار' اِس کے ڈر کے مارے دم سادھ کر بیٹھ رہنے میں ہی عافیت جانتے اور اپنی 'ساکھ' کا تحفظ ممکن بناتے ہیں۔ تب وہ اپنی سرگرمی کیلئے ایسے 'بے ضرر' محاذوں پر ہی سرگرم ہوجانا مناسب تر جانتے ہیں جن پر کسی بھی 'فرقے' کو اعتراض نہ ہو۔۔۔۔! یعنی عین وہ چیز جو جاہلیت کو مطلوب ہے
!!!

'جو کہا نہیں وہ سنا کرو'۔۔ جاہلیت یہی تو چاہتی ہے کہ اُس کے ہاتھ میں 'اصطلاحات' کی یہ لٹھ پکڑی دیکھ کر آپ اُس کے آگے لگ کر بھاگ کھڑے ہوں! اِس لٹھ سے یہ ڈرائے سب کو اور مارے کسی کسی کو!!!سبھی مر جائیں تو اُس کا یہ تماشا دیکھنے کو یہاں کون رہے؟! لیبلز اور القابات ایسے ہتھیار 'ڈرانے' کیلئے ہی تو ہوتے ہیں!!!وہ شخص جو اِن سے ڈر کر نہیں دکھاتا، جاہلیت کو جتنی تکلیف اور جتنی مایوسی اُس شخص سے ہوتی ہے کسی اور سے نہ ہوتی ہوگی۔۔۔۔

ASTROLOGY is the study of the relationship between the movements of the stars and their influence on people and events.

From an Islamic perspective, Astrology is divided into two branches:

Polytheistic Astrology

and Lawful Astrology.

POLYTHEISTIC ASTROLOGY

Can you imagine claming that the stars and planets have such domineering power that they can steer peoples lives and destinies? That they are the determining factor of good or bad luck? This form of polytheism, experienced by those to whom Abraham (Peace be upon him), was sent, insinuates ascribing partners to Allâh in worship. It also presumes a relationship between stars, planets and events that take place on Earth by which, the future can be predicted.

It claims knowledge of the unseen based on speculations and conjectures when such knowledge is unique to Allah alone.

As Muslims, we know that the stars and planets cannot be used as indicators of happiness or misery, life or death. Allah says in the Quran: "(He Alone is) the All-Knower of the Ghayb (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb (unseen), except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen. (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (agnels) to march before him and after him." Surah al-Jinn: Ayah 26-27.

RULING

Muslims are not allowed to learn or teach polytheistic astrology because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam regarded it as a branch of magic, which is prohibited by Islamic law.

Allah says in the Quran:

"They followed what the devils gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Solomon. Solomon did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, 'We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us).' " Surah al-Baqarah: Ayah 102.

It also involves learning something that has no benefit. If a Muslim were to learn it for a career, all associated gains would be unlawful. And, anyone who teaches it to others, spreads falsehood.

ASTROLOGY IN POPULAR CULTURE

Polytheistic astrology has dramatically spread in recent years, and it has become a means of distorting peoples belief in Allah. Private institutes have been founded, books, magazines and newspapers are published, under various titles such as "What's in the Stars for You?", "Constellations" and many others in order to advertise such a seductive commodity that often appeals to the uneducated public.

A true Muslim should stay away from this type of astrology because if he does not, it is likely to exclude him completely from the fold of Islâm.

LAWFUL ASTROLOGY

This is the scientific study of stars for determining and fixing time division such as months and seasons and determining and fixing compass directions. In modern times, this can be called astronomy, and this is lawful because it is perceived by the senses and fixed calculations, which can help determine the times of prescribed prayers, and other religious duties that should be observed at certain times. 

DIVINE WISDOM BEHIND THE CREATION OF THE STARS

Allah has informed us of His intended purpose for the stars: "And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps." Surah 67: Ayah 5.

"And landmarks (sign posts during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves." Surah 16: Ayah 16.

" ... and We have made such lamps as missiles to drive away the Shayatîn (devils)." Surah 67: Ayah 5.

Because this subject is often overlooked, many Muslims may not be aware of the ruling of Astrology. It would be easy to find it amusing to check on ones horoscope or discuss which sign you were born under. But, as with many elements of today's popular culture, we must force ourselves to refocus our lives, and live every day to please Allah subhanahu wa taala, in case it may be our last. Spending idle time on such foolishness is not only wasteful, but it is a sign that we are venturing away from the straight path.

[PF:167921] The Sacred Knowledge of AlaHadrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan al-Baraylawi Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu

The Great Imaam and Mujaddid, Sayyiduna AlaHadrat Imam Ahmad Rida al-Qadiri (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) was only 4 years old when he completed the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Due to the extraordinary intelligence bestowed upon him by Almighty ALLAH, AlaHadrat Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu completed his Islamic Education at the very young age of 13 years, 10 months and 5 days.

 

The Illustrious Teachers of Imaam Ahmad Rida

 

AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Anhu) gained his basic knowledge at home. He later continued his studies under the guidance of certain noted teachers. He studied under his father, Hadrat Allama Mawlana Naqi Ali Khan (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu). He completed his primary education by Janab Mirza Ghulam Qadir Baig, by whom he studied the book, "Mizaan-e-Munsha'ab." AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) also studied under the guidance of the following luminous personalities:

1. Hadrat Mawlana Abdul Ali Rampuri (Radi Allahu Anhu)
2. Shaykh al-Kabeer, Hadrat Allama Syed Shah Abul Hussain Ahmad Noori (Radi Allahu Anhu)
3. Shaykh al-Tariqah, Hadrat Allama Shah Ale Rasool Mahrahrwi (Radi Allahu Anhu)
4. Shaykh Ahmad bin Zain Dahlaan al-Makki (Radi Allahu Anhu)
5. Shaykh Abdur Rahman Makki (Radi Allahu Anhu), and
6. Shaykh Hussain bin Saleh Makki (Radi Allahu Anhu)

 

AlaHadrat and the Ulama of Haramain

When AlaHadrat went to perform his first HAJJ and Zyarah on the 26th of Shawwal 1295 A.H. (1876). He was only 20 years old at that time. One day, after completing his Hajj, he went to perform his Maghrib Salaah before the Maqaam-e-Ibrahim (Alaihis Salam). Having completed his Salaah, the Imam of the Shafi'ee order of Makkatul Mukarramah, Allama Hussain bin Saleh Kamaal (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), approached him. He clutched AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) by his hand and led him to his house. The great Imam then placed his hand on the blessed forehead of AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) and said:

"Verily, I am observing the Noor of Almighty Allah on this forehead."

Without hesitation, he blessed AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Anhu) with the Sanad (Certificate) of Sihah Sitta (Six Compilers of Hadith: Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah, Abu Dawood, Tirmizi and Nisa'i). He also began addressing AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Anhu) by the title of "Dia al-Din" or "The Light or Splendour of Deen." The speciality of this Sanad is that it has only Eleven (11) levels to Imam Bukhari.

AlaHadrat (Radi Allahu Anhu) was also blessed with the Asnaad (Certificates) of Hadees o Fiqah, Usool o Tafseer and etc. from the Mufti of the Hanafi order in Makkatul Mukarramah, Sayyiduna Allama Abdur Rahmaan Siraaj Hanafi and Mufti of the Shafi'ee order in Makkatul Mukarramah, Mufti Shaykh Sayyad Ahmad Dahlaan Shafi'ee (Radi Allahu Anhuma).

When he went for his Second Hajj in 1323/1905, he stayed for three months in the Holy Land and constantly searched for anyone who had higher-ranking Sanad of Hadith then His Sanad of Hadith. He wanted to take it from him and elevate His existing Sanad of Hadith. But Alhamdulillah! His Sanad was the highest and everyone took Sanads from him. Shaykh Abd al-Rahmaan Dah'laan, the youngest son of Shaykh Ahmed Dah'laan and his elder brother, Shaykh Asad Dah'laan (Qaadi of Makkah at that time) both took Sanad of Hadith from him too. And Shaikh Saaleh Kamal, the most Knowledgable Scholar of Makkah at that time, though he was a senior Aalim, but he insisted in taking Sanad-e-Hadith and other Ijazah from AlaHadrat. AlaHadrat tried to evade this for a few days in respect but it was in vain. Shaikh Saaleh Kamal constantly insisted and forced AlaHadrat to issue them to him.

 

 

The Ulama of Arab who praised Imam Ahmad Rida

Imam Ahmad Rida studied under various teachers but with personal study, he perfected himself in more than 54 different disciplines of knowledge. The following 21 branches of Knowledge he learnt from his father:-

Note:- Sayyidi AlaHadrat learnt Ilm-e-Takseer and Ilm-e-Jafr from Hadrat Abul Hussain Ahmed-e-Noori too but it was just to an extant not in depth as such.
