MSc in Food Technology with 10-12 years of relevant experience in Food Technology preferably Food dressing and Beverages.2 years atleast on a Managerial Role is mandatory.

Skills

·         Must have good experience to manage Contract Manufacturing business

·         Basic knowledge of food laws and commercial 

·         Good understanding of quality assurance processes, requirement and specification.

·         Strong analytical skills.

·         Good knowledge of physical and chemical properties of ingredients and materials.

·         Good knowledge of data gathering and interpretation.

·         Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills.

Job Responsibilities

·         Agree and Manage work programme and daily activities of all reportees and that the work is carried out using safe practices.

·         Ensure smooth introduction of new Products / Processess into the factory

·         Ensure that all necessary information is entered into the ERP systems as per agreed timelines for smooth operation of the factory.

·         Ensure that all Safety Clearances and other mandatory requirements (As per local legislation or as per the company mandatory requirements) are fulfilled before launching of products.

·         Ensure that Quality of design of the end product is as per agreed standard.

·         Also ensure that the product conforms to the agreed quality standard during manufacturing by implementing proper quality checks as needed.

·         Design and implement Systems and Procedures in the factory for effective Quality Assurance of Products manufactured.

·         Deal with Suppliers as needed to sort out any quality issues.

·         Effectively maintain the QA laboratories.

·         Develop test methods as necessary. Maintain all equipment properly.

·         Develop and Implement Training Programme for all Manufacturing staff, Contract workers, Co-packers, etc. on Quality Awareness, Hygiene Awareness, On-Line Quality Checks & Analysis, etc.

·         Ensure that all reports are published as per agreed timings

·         Ensure that all documents are properly controlled

·         Maintain highest quality standards, ensure safe working practice and care for environment through total compliance with the guidelines set up in Company Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Customer Service and Consumer safety polices of the company 

·         To ensure the quality of finished products being produced must be in good quality in compliance with specification requirements interms of physical, chemical, microbiological quality and aesthetics of the product.

·         Manage teams of workers and deal with personnel issues such as the

recruitment, training and discipline of staff. Some managers also oversee picking, packing and distribution activity.

·         Deal with planning, administration and general management issues, which will include the day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing work organized by team leaders (who then report to the manager).

·         Ensure set productivity targets are met;

·         Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers;

·         Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met;

·         Keeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity

requirements;

·         Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly

basis;
