Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam

Hope you all are in best of your Iman and health and enjoying the blessings of Sha'ban al-Mu'azzam and waiting and preparing to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan al-Kareem in sha ALLAH!!

Similar to the previous years, I am here to have Volunteers for Ramadan al-Kareem who could recite One or Two Chapters from Qur'an al-Kareem daily.

Lets suppose we are 15 people in total! A Syed Sahib will make a start to this blessed recital inshaALLAH. He will recite first 2 Chapters, the next person will recite next two and so on.. the last person will recite 29th and 30th.

Now the very next day! everybody will be reciting the next two to those he/she recited first day! for example! Syed Sahib took a start and will recite first two chapters..the next day he would be reciting 3rd and 4th chapter and so on! When it reaches to 30th ..the person will start again! The person who recited the 3rd and 4th chapters on the first day, would on the second day recite the 5th and 6th chapters, and so on…

It will make it something like.... If I started from 11th Chapter, I will end at 10th and this way, myself, you and all participants will be finishing their individual Quran Shareef also!

If we are 30, everybody will have to recite 1 chapter daily! So encourage your near ones to take part in this good deed! in sha ALLAH we will be blessed for our intentions too!

Anybody! who is sure he/she will able to participate must reply immediately! so that list of recitators may be finalized and the chain can continue without any problems in Ramadan al-Mubarak! I hope that we'll get 30 Volunteers or at least 15 for this task in sha ALLAH.

May Allah Ta'ala bless us with the sacred vision of His Beloved Habeeb Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam and keep our hearts firm on his love and make us act upon his Sunnah and die upon the true religion of Islam. Aameen!!

The Prophet Is Born

One day, while traveling north, one of the Arab tribes from Mecca met a hermit in the desert. Some of the men stopped to speak with him. Hermits were known to be wise and the Arabs often asked their advice. The hermit asked where they had come from. When they replied that they were from Mecca, he told them that Allah would soon send a prophet, who would come from their people. They asked the name of this prophet and the hermit answered that his name would be Muhammad and that he would guide them to a new way of life.

Meanwhile in Mecca, Aminah, although saddened by the loss of her husband, felt especially well and strong as she awaited the birth of her baby. During this time she dreamt of many things. On one occasion it was as if a great light were shining out of her, and on another she heard a voice telling her that she would have a boy and that his name would be Muhammad. She never forgot that voice but she told no one about it.

Some were seen by Jewish scholars who had read in their scriptures of a coming Prophet. One of these learned men in Yathrib, for instance, saw a brilliant new star he had never seen before as he studied the heavens that night. He called the people around him and, pointing the star out to them, told them a Prophet must have been born. That same night another Jew was passing by the meeting place of the leaders of Quraysh in Mecca. He asked them if a baby boy had just been born and told them that if it were true, this would be the Prophet of the Arab nation.

Aminah sent news of the birth to her father-in-law, Abd al-Muttalib, who was sitting near the Kaabah at the time. He was very happy and began at once to think of a name for the boy. An ordinary name would not do.

Six days came and went and still he had not decided. But on the seventh day, as he lay asleep near the Kaabah, Abd al-Muttalib dreamt that he should give the baby the unusual name of Muhammad, just as Aminah herself had dreamt. And the child was called Muhammad (pbuh), which means 'the Praised One'.

When Abd al-Muttalib told the leaders of Quraysh what he had named his grandson, many of them asked, 'Why did you not choose the sort of name that is used by our people?' At once he replied, 'I want him to be praised by Allah in the heavens and praised by men on earth.'

اصدرت الجمعية المصرية للتمويل الإسلامي تقريرها الأول عن حجم المصرفية الإسلامية في مصر بنهاية شهر مارس 2012 والذي بلغت مقدار 94.450 مليار جنيه مصري بنسبة 7.3% من إجمالي حجم السوق المصرفي المصري والذي بلغت قيمته 1.3 تريليون جنيه مصري .
وقالت الجمعية في تقريرها إن حجم التمويل في المصارف الإسلامية بلغ 64.757 مليار جنيه .

وقالت الجمعية المصرية ان حجم الودائع في المصارف الإسلامية يبلغ 85.550 مليار جنيه بنسبة 8.6% من إجمالي حجم الودائع بالسوق المصرفية المصرية البالغة 1 تريليون جنيه .

وقال التقرير إن عدد الفروع التي تعمل وفق أحكام الشريعة في البنوك المصرية بلغ 211 فرعا لتشكل بذلك نسبة 8.9% من إجمالي الفروع والبالغة 2360 فرعا .

وأوضح التقرير ان هناك 8 مصارف لديهم هيئات شرعية ومصرفين يعتمدون الفتاوى من دار الإفتاء وأربعة مصارف لا يوجد لديهم هيئات شرعية .
كما أن هناك بنكين تقليديين تقدما بطلب مؤخرا للحصول علي رخصة للتعامل في مجال الصيرفة الإسلامية ويسعون للاعتماد قريبا .
وصرح الدكتور محمد البلتاجي رئيس الجمعية المصرية للتمويل الإسلامي بأن الفترة المقبلة ستشهد نموا في المعاملات في حدود من 10% إلى 15% سنويا وذلك لزيادة الطلب لدى شريحة كبيرة من المتعاملين مع الجهاز المصرفي على التعامل وفق أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية.
وأوضح أن حجم العمل المصرفي الإسلامي في السوق المصرية قد شهد نموا بنسبة 20% خلال العامين الماضيين.

وأضاف الدكتور احمد النجار الخبير الإقتصاد وعضو مجلس ادارة الجمعية أن الجمعية ستعقد في شهر سبتمبر القادم مؤتمرا لها عن التمويل الإسلامي وافاق التنمية في مصر يتناول كل اشكال التمويل الإسلامي وكيفية الإستفادة بتلك الادوات المتاحة سهلة التنفيذ ، والتي ستعود بالنفع علي الإقتصاد المصري .

وقال ان الجمعية تسعَى إلى تعزيز الوعي والتطبيق الصحيح للمعاملات المالية الإسلامية، والإسهام في علاج المشكلات الاقتصادية في مصر والعالم من منظور إسلامي، عن طريق إثراء البحث ونشر المعرفة الاقتصادية والمساهمة في بناء ودعم المؤسسات المالية والاقتصادية والرقابية في مختلف الجوانب، وتأهيل الكوادر اللازمة لتطبيق المصرفية الإسلامية، وتكوين قاعدة معلومات تتعامل حول التمويل الإسلامي.

UNITED NATIONS — The United Nations has promoted a former Israeli government attorney to a job as the Security Council's top counterterrorism lawyer, making him the only Israeli national serving in a senior security position within the U.N. Secretariat, Israeli and U.N. officials said Tuesday.

David Scharia has been appointed legal coordinator for the Counter-Terrorism Committee executive directorate, where he will oversee a team of 12 international legal experts who advise the 15-nation Security Council on its counterterrorism efforts.

"La Confianza," which translates to the "trust," has become a rallying point in Honduras against the ruling business and political elite.

The appointment would not typically be notable were it not so uncommon for Israelis to reach the upper levels at the United Nations. The organization helped give birth to Israel, but the recent history between the country and the U.N. has been contentious.

Of the more than 44,000 international employees within the United Nations, only 124 are Israeli, according to the U.N. None serve in the top ranks of the most sensitive political jobs, which are responsible for maintaining international security, mediating peace deals and coordinating humanitarian assistance.

U.N. officials, however, say that while Israel has a relatively small presence it is not considered "underrepresented" because Israel's population, at under 8 million, is relatively small.

"I am very proud to welcome a very talented Israeli into the U.N's senior ranks," said Ron Prosor, Israel's U.N. ambassador. "One of my priorities is to bring many more bright minds from the Holy Land into the U.N.'s halls, where Israelis have long been underrepresented."

Scharia previously served as the Israel attorney general's lead lawyer for counterterrorism cases before the Israeli Supreme Court. He began working for the United Nations in September 2005 as a legal adviser to the Security Council's counterterrorism executive directorate.

The directorate was established in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, with the aim of promoting international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and to prod governments into passing stronger anti-terrorism laws. In addition to advising the council, Scharia serves as the U.N. liaison with the Global Counter Terrorism Forum, a U.S.-backed anti-terrorism coalition.

The only other senior Israelis at the United Nations are Shari Klugman, the executive secretary of the U.N. membership's main budget advisory board, and Natalia Nedel, the chief of the U.N. peacekeeping procurement section. Daphna Shraga, an Israeli national who served as a senior attorney in the U.N. legal affairs office, retired last year. Dan Gillerman, Israel's former U.N. ambassador, was elected vice president of the General Assembly in 2005, the first Israeli diplomat to serve in that position in 53 years.
