Assalamu alaikum.

Hajja Fatimah Alqudah passed away on Wednesday, March 13th 2013 in Jordan.  She is the mother of Br. Ali and Sr. Eman Al-Ababneh. They have just arrived from Jordan.  She is also the mother in-law of Br. Ashraf Abulhaija and Sr. Becky Al-Ababneh.  Azza' will be on Thursday at the ICT Masjid Al-Qassam after Maghrib praeyr insha'Allah.

May Allah shower her with His mercy, Ameen.

Some Humble Reminders
Almighty Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah (155-157): "But give glad tidings to the patient. Who, when afflicted with calamity, say:'Truly, to Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.' They are those on whom are the prayers from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones".

Hadith: Abu Hurayrah (ra) reported that Allah's Messenger (صل الله عليه وسلم) said: "A Muslim has five rights upon other Muslims: Responding to his Salam, Answering his invitation (to food), Making Tashmeet when he sneezes, Visiting him when he is sick, and Following his Janazah when he dies." (Bukhari and Muslim).
Hadith: Allah's Messenger (صل الله عليه و سلم) said: "Whoever attends the Janazah until it is finished, will earn one Qirat, and who ever stays until the burial, will earn two Qirats. Someone asked: What a Qirat means? The Prophet (صل الله عليه و سلم) answered:' It means rewards as big as a great mountain" (Bukhari & Muslim).
Hadith: On the authority of Suhaib, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported as having said: "How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affair is all good, and this applies to no one except the believer. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks and that is good for him, and if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and he will be rewarded for that, so everything that Allah has decreed for the Muslim is good" (Muslim).
Hadith: According to an authentic hadith: "The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath" (At-Tirmidhi).
Al-Hasan Al-Basri (may Allah bless his soul) said, "Do not hate the trials that befall you or the calamities that happen to you, for they may be something that you hate but it leads you to salvation, and there may be something that you love, but it brings to you your doom."

[karachi-Friends] Daily Qur'an & Hadith 21 Mar 2013 (08 Jamadi Al`Awwal 1434)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[21].Al-Anbiya [The Prophets]

Ayat 76. And (remember) Nuh (Noah), when he cried (to Us) aforetime. We listened to his invocation and saved him and his family from great distress.

Ayat 77. We helped him against people who denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). Verily, they were a people given to evil. So We drowned them all.

[Tafseer] (Remember) Noah, when he cried (to Us) aforetime: We listened to his (prayer) and delivered him and his family from great distress. A The date of Noah was many centuries before that of Abraham. The contemporaries of Noah were given to Unbelief, oppression of the poor, and vain disputations. He carried Allah's Message to them, and standing fast in faith, built the Ark , in which he was saved with his followers from the Flood, while the wicked were drowned. We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "If Allah afflicts punishment upon a nation, it befalls the whole population indiscriminately and then they will be resurrected and judged according to their deeds.''

[Al-Bukhari Book 09, Chapter 88, Hadith # 224]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Anbiya Ayat 77."Verily, they were a people given to evil. So We drowned them all." When Allah's punishment comes to pass, it does not distinguish between the upright and the wicked. However, the pious people will be saved from punishment after their death while the wicked ones will be punished in the Hell. May Allah save us from all types of punishments.

[PF:171976] What Are Zip, RAR, 7z File Formats

Working on computers and browsing Internet, you often came across with the terms File Compression, Archives, Zip File or Compressed Files. I receive many emails from people asking about the zip, rar, 7z, tar file formats and how to open these files. These all are compressed file formats and there are many other compression formats as well. Depending on the operating system (Windows, Linux, Mac) and software people are using, each can create a different type of compressed file. (Image Credit : Picozip)

Reason To Compress Any File / Folder

Using file compression software, you can easily reduce the size of any file or folder to make it a one small file known as Compressed / Archive / Zip File. Now a days File Compression is one of the core task on computers and it has number of benefits as well. File compression software reduces the size of the file / folder and it combines multiple files / folders into a 1 single archive file, which can help you in a number of ways.

1. It's easy to transfer huge amount of files from one pc to another, if they are compressed and transformed into a one single archive file.

2. It's easy to upload or download compressed files on/from File Sharing Website (due to small size and only one file)

3. We all know that we cannot attach large attachments in email due to size limits. But using file compression software, we can reduce the file size easily.
