experience)

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Desired Experience Range: 8+ Years

Must-Have
• Good Communication
• General database administration & troubleshooting for LUW
DB2 Database
• Experience installing new Software Releases for SAP
• SAP Functional knowledge
• Experience using Basis Admin Tool
• Hands On Experience with SAP on DB2 LUW
• Experience in DB2 DBA V8 & V9
• Good Command over SQL
• Experience in installation of db2 client and other db2
related products is required
• Sound experience in Instance, DB creation and setting up
backup using TSM
• Experience in AIX and supporting DB2 on AIX
• Sound experience in SQL and database Tuning
• Good experience in applying patches
• Good knowledge of Change Management process and
Configuration Management is required
• 24x7 Production Support experience and willingness to
provide 24x7 support preferred

Good-to-Have
• Worked in 24X7 production support
• Database monitoring tools
• Relevant DB2 Certification is preferred
• ITIL awareness

Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting for day to day issues in DB2 production/non-
prod environment
• Installation and patching for LUW DB2Database
• Taking backup and recovery/cloning of database
• Creation of new databases
• Doing performance tuning for the databases
• Security management at database level.
• Space management for databases
• Monitoring of database health and remediating it ontime.
• Patch management for LUW DB2 database
• 24X7 production support (oncall / shifts – as required)
• Working in onsite-offshore team structure
• Client interaction and Coordination with offshore team

* Should be highly motivated.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Communication Skills should be – A+
