Dear brother or sister in Islam,
Assalamu 'alaikum wa-Rahmatullahi wa-Barakatuh.
On behalf of the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay Area (ISTABA), I would like to wish you a happy Ramadan. May Allah (swt) accept your fasting and grant you forgiveness and mercy in this blessed month, a month in which Allah multiplies the reward of every good deed manifold. In this blessed month, I appeal to you to help ISTABA continue serving the many needs of our community. The cost of continuing our mission is $1095.89 daily! By contributing, you will get the reward of helping ISTABA continue its mission:
1. To provide an environment where all Muslims can assemble, worship, learn the deen, educate their children, and celebrate their Eid holidays.
2. To educate the community at large by dialoguing interfaith discussions, hosting a yearly open house, lecturing, and visitation.
3. To provide services (medical clinic, food pantry, etc.) which are needed and essential and are a necessity of life for Muslims and non-Muslims.
4. To maintain the facilities up to standard and to maintain daily activities and operations.
5. To promote social services.
This is what we do at ISTABA, but we cannot do it without Allah's help and then your help. The reward in Ramadan is great indeed! For every dollar you give you get 700 hasanats. Your generous donation is an investment in the hereafter, the everlasting life. Sadaqa does not decrease wealth. Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth,
and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility,
Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people)." (Muslim Vol. 4, Hadith 6264)
He صلى الله عليه وسلم also said:
"There is not a day in which the obedient slaves rise in the morning except that two angels descend, and one of them says: 'O Allah! Compensate the one who spends.' The other angel says: 'O Allah! Destroy the wealth of the one who is niggardly." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
