How cold was it this morning! Here's a very comforting hadith about experiencing extremely cold temperature in this world and how it could be a means to save you from the unbearable cold of the Hell fire.
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If a man says on a hot day, ►'La ilaha illAllah, how hot it is today! O Allah, save me from the heat of the Hellfire,'
Allah will say to the Hell; 'Indeed a servant of Mine has asked Me for salvation from your heat. Indeed, I hold you as a witness that I have granted him salvation.'
"And if a servant says on an extremely cold day,► 'La ilaha illAllah, how cold it is today! O Allah, save me from the Zamhareer of Hell,'
Allah will say to the Hell, 'Indeed a servant of Mine has sought refuge with me from your Zamhareer, indeed I hold you as a witness that I have granted him refuge.'
"The companions asked: "What is the Zamhareer of Hell?" He replied: "It is an abode where the disbeliever is thrown, he would be torn apart by its extreme cold."
