I have an urgent opening for a Release Management/Deployer Position in VA. Please let me know if you are interested in the below position ASAP.

 

Role:                          Release Management/Deployer

Duration:                  9 - 12 Months Contract

Location:                  Reston, VA

Interview                 Telephone / InPerson

                
*Deployer will provide support for deployment activities for PE RMM1B and Data Archival projects. CW is expected to work off-hours during weekdays and weekends to provide extended support for Sourcing and Servicing related projects. Contractor will perform application deployments to UAT, Performance, Maint, Production and DR environments.
*Deployer will primarily assist BIO/D is setting up the build scripts and package J2EE application and deploy to various  environments in accordance with Release Management standards and processes.              
*Support crosses multiple applications/projects and systems with multiple environments and different technologies
*Submit Mac Requests and maintain shared ids used for deployments.
*Support automation of build and deployment process
*Document and provide status of the deployment to management.
*Perform Peer-deployer reviews for other deployments.
*Document issues surfaced during deployment.
               
Deliverables:

*Build and deployment plan for all supported applications/projects
*Complete build and deployment for supported applications/projects.
*Deployment status reports for all deployments.

Skills:              

3-7 years experience in Information Technology, preferably systems deployments. Previous experience as an  environment/build/deployment analyst in defining, configuring, and building environments supporting various technologies and lifecycle methodologies including years of iterative/concurrent development efforts; experience in J2EE is must. Excellent UNIX skill is a must.
               
Comments:            

Contractor is expected to perform Build and Deployer function, should have necessary skills to perform application deployments, and is expected to quickly learn Release and Change Management processes, controls and standards and provide deployment support.
