The United States is on a quest for world domination and won't rest until it owns, controls, and profits from every resource on the planet. It will no longer legitimately purchase or trade for the resources it wants or needs from other sovereign nations. It will assume that ownership, take that control, and make those profits through perennial military intervention.

With soporifics like "making the world safe for democracy" or "fighting the 'terrorists' who hate us for our freedoms," the war-mongers narcotize the citizenry against conscious awareness of the end-stage global metastases of voracious Western capitalism and incite society's adolescent and post-adolescent members to suit up for combat.

It's all just Big Business for the 1%, who use the children of the 99% to kill other mothers' children in order to profit from lucrative "defense" contracts and steal international resources. Soon the verbiage of the National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1867) will expand to apply to "any American citizen suspected of 'terrorism' on domestic soil." The definition of "terrorism" will include protesting, so that the fear of having your skull fractured or spleen ruptured by the police at a demonstration will take a back seat to that of being incarcerated for life without charge or trial. 

And it will broaden even further to embrace negative statements about the government and its actions, so that you will no longer be reading commentary such as this.
