[PF:166488] Opportunity for Engineering Sector SMEs to avail FREE Consultancy Services by Japanese Expert

SMEDA has been routing successful endeavors of Productivity and Quality improvement through Lean Production System for the Small and Medium Manufacturing concerns throughout the country under its Industry Support Program (ISP) since 2003. Over three hundred industrial units have been facilitated with the help of Foreign Experts and a professional team of SMEDA's Engineers. Unveiling the enormous potential of Productivity and Quality by optimal utilization of available resources is likely to be the optimum solution for competitiveness, in soaring economic conditions, owing to their exponential impact compared with little investment. 

 

SMEDA in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has been frequently engaging Japanese experts to support the local industry.  In this context, JICA Expert, Mr. Kiyoshi Yoshida, presently attached with SMEDA for its third term, having more than 30 years of practical experience with renowned Manufacturing Enterprises of Japan with 3 years' experience to facilitate Pakistan's industrial sector. The team of JICA expert and SMEDA counter part Engineers help local enterprises to identify problems of low productivity and poor quality owing to line balance losses/ wastages, poor housekeeping, excessive material/operator motions and high rework rates.

 

The aforesaid services will be provided to Sindh selected companies' in association with the technical representatives of the respective companies for demonstration and implementation of Productivity and Quality concepts. Our Productivity initiatives address the aforementioned problems by creating a culture in which everyone in the organization continuously strives to improve the processes, reduce costs and improve quality, thereby, providing maximum value to the customers and sustainability to the organization.
