SENIOR VIDEO NETWORK ENGINEER
Job Title: SENIOR ENGINEER – IPTV/OTT
Major Responsibilities:
· Design, plan, develop and deliver video services over IPTV and OTT networks
· Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including vendors to devise new services & solutions
· Act as subject matter expert for all assigned technologies and provide technical design, guidance and assistance to implement video delivery systems, video infrastructure and managed services for customers
· Participate in key projects of client to provide recommendations, guidance and progress updates for system migrations, service launches and technology initiative
· System integration of various components
· Contribute significantly to client satisfaction
Key Skills:
· Must have expertise in IPTV & OTT design and deployments including satellite dish-farms, IRDs, headend, encoders, multiplexers, SDI routers, middleware, conditional access systems (CAS), Digital rights management (DRM), CDN (Content Delivery Network), EPG, Content caching & storage, content transcoding, STB & mobile/PC client functionality
· Experience in cloud based video delivery networks
· Strong understanding of various industry standards like H.264/H.265/H.263, AAC, DVB-C, DVB-H, DVB-T, DOCSIS, Adaptive bit rate, HTTP streaming
· Must have strong understanding of OSS/BSS integration and middleware integration
· Should have designed large IPTV & OTT networks and well verse with troubleshooting and operations aspect both over fixed and mobile access networks
· Good understanding of walled garden applications in multi-screen environment
· Complete understanding of software development release management with hands-on experience on reporting, release management, test management
· Must have more than 10 years on experience in product & project management and 5 years of relevant experience
Other skills:
· Demonstrate Leadership quality, with team management experience
· Project management skills (PMP preferred)
· Excellent verbal and written communications skill
