Assalamu Aallaikkum! I want to share with you all this important piece of information I had received from my niece in Saudi Arabia ; just this morning. Saudi Arabia has placed a complete ban on all meats imported into the country from Brazil , for the validity of Halal certification/processing was questionable. When I visited Saudi Arabia last Ramadan on Umrah I personally witnessed most grocery outlets (called bakala, the corner store) fully stocked with Brazilian canned meat. Therefore, the Saudi Government to take this radical stand not to import Brazilian meat – cautions us all. I know in Canada/US many outlets have canned halal meats from Brazil , next time when you reach-out for the Brazilian canned meat think twice - opt out. May Allah keep our iman strong and enable us to reach the higher level of Taqwa…Ameen
