English Translation of Al-Quran

[22].Surah Al-Hajj [The Pilgrimage]

Ayat 15. Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him (Muhammad  [SAWW](PBUH) in this world and in the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and let him strangle himself. Then let him see whether his plan will remove that whereat he rages!

Ayat 16. Thus have We sent it (this Qur'an) down (to Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) as clear signs, evidences and proofs, and surely, Allah guides whom He wills.

[Tafseer] If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger [SAWW](PBUH). in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)! There is some difference of opinion as to the interpretation of this verse. Most Commentators are agreed that the pronoun "him" in the second line ("will not help him") refers to the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH), and that the "any" in the first line refers to his enemies, who wished to see him destroyed and removed from the scene of his labours, Ibn 'Abbas, whom I have followed here, and whom a great number of Commentators follow, construes the later clauses in the sense given in the text. Freely paraphrased, it means: if the enemies of Allah's Messenger [SAWW](PBUH) are enraged at his successes, let them fix a rope to their ceiling and hang themselves. Sama is thus rendered by the word "ceiling". If Sama'' is rendered by the word "heaven" (the usual meaning), the paraphrase would be: if the enemies of Allah's Messenger [SAWW](PBUH) are enraged at the help he gets from heavens, let them stretch a rope to heaven and see if they can cut off the help that way!-in other words, they are fools if they think they can intercept Allah's help by their petty devices! 16. Thus have We sent down Clear Sings; and verily Allah doth guide whom He will! Instead of plotting against Allah's Messenger, [SAWW](PBUH) the Unbelievers should observe the Clear Signs which he has brought and obey and follow the Guidance  which comes from Allah according to the Laws which He has fixed by His Holy Will and Plan.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Musa Al-Ashari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH), feared mischief from a people, he would supplicate: "Allahumma inna naj`aluka fi nuhurihim, wa na`udhu bika min shururihim (O Allah! We ask You to face them, and seek Your Protection against their evil.''

[Abu Dawud Hadith # 1537 # and An-Nasa'i Hadith # 8631].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hajj Ayat 15."Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him (Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) in this world and in the HereafterAllah's Help, we are told, is a protection against all perils. Through this prayer we seek His Help with the conviction that the deceptions and designs of the infidels will turn back upon them.
