[PF:171660] Say Goodbye To MSN Messenger And Start Using Skype

 

The time when Microsoft bought Skype last year, we were knowing that this could happen anytime. And guess what, Microsoft has started sending emails to every Hotmail / Outlook user stating 

We are retiring the existing Messenger service globally (except for mainland China where Messenger will continue to be available) and bringing the great features of Messenger and Skype together. Update to Skype and sign in using a Microsoft Account (same as your Messenger ID) and all your Messenger contacts will be at your fingertips. You'll be able to instant message and video chat with them just like before, and also discover new ways of staying in touch with Skype on your mobile and tablet. 

Sarting March 15, 2013 Windows Live Messenger (Msn Messenger) will be no more in service. Instead (as said above) you have to use Skype Messenger in order to communicate with you Skype and Msn buddies. If you are already a user of Skype, then you simply have to merge your Skype account with Hotmail account or else simply download the Skype messenger, login with your Hotmail account and you will see all of you Msn buddies in the Skype. 

 

I have post an article detailing the steps required to Merge your Hotmail account with Skype messenger, as we did previously for Facebook. So go ahead and if you face any difficulty then you can ask me anytime by sending me an email.
