Friends, Tomorrow (October 5, 2012) night I leave for Kokrajhar (Assam) by Brahmaputra Mail. I will reach Kokrajhar at 8:30 AM on October 7, will visit relief camps and villages/ towns in Kokrajhar, Dhubri districts, meet education related groups including principals, DEOs, peace activists and administratiomn. On October 10 I will reach Guwahati and try to meet political leaders and press. Dr. Mehboob Ul Haque is planning to organize a Press Conference. In the evening (October 10) I will take flight to Delhi. It is two months since my first visit to the area. In this period we distributed 7000 fliers, organized meetings in Delhi and Bhopal to awaken people to the poison RSS / BJP are inflicting country wide and emboldening the killers by projecting native Indians as Bangladeshis. Navbharat Times and a few other news papers and magazines carried our report. Humra Qureshi wrote a column in Kashmir Times highlighting the report. The danger is still very acute. In Bdoland, violence has stopped but fear and apprehension cfontinue. Nearly 2 lakh people are still to return. Let me taste the ground realities and I will report. I had sent a draft of Rs. 30,000 to Bhodeyaguri group (near Kokrajhar). I will be carrying another 30,000 with me to help rehabilitation. Two weeks ago some one played mischef with my email account, hacked it and sent a wrong and terrible message in my name that I was strained in Spain.
