I just wanted to share this about Islam in Burma, the story about the Muslims that will not make the headline news, simply because they say my Lord is Allah.

The story of the Muslims in Burma, is not a new story. It's a story that doesn't make the main headlines in the news despite the horrific massacres against the Muslim  killing, raping, burning women, infants, children …or say whole families.

How Islam entered Burma?

Islam entered Arakan state  in the seventh century A.D. It was occupied by Burma, the Buddhist country in 1748.  Since then, the Muslims there were facing the worst and most brutal torture on Earth from the Buddhists there.   In 1942 a huge massacre took place against the Muslims in Burma killing more than one hundred thousand Muslims.  Yes! The number   is ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND innocent civilian Muslims. The UN have described the Rohingya race as 'the most persecuted community in the world'

Almost  1.5 million Arakan Muslims were forced to immigrate to  Bangladesh between the years of 1962 and 1991.

During the elections, the Arakan Muslims won 46 seats in the parliament, yet 43 seats were given to the Buddhists, and 3 for the Muslims.  Even after the elections the Burmese authorities have not acknowledged the Rohingyas race in the area of Arakan despite the international requests.

When did this problem happen?

In the begennning of June of 2012, the Burmese government announced that it will give an identification card for the Rohingyain race in Arakan state. The Buddhists of Burma were outraged by this announcement, since they considered that that   will affect the population in Burma. The Buddhists then decided to go against this announcement by attacking a bus that had ten Muslim scholars on their way back from doing 'omra. Approximately 450 Buddhists participated in this act.  The scholars' hands and legs were tied and beaten to death using sticks.

The Buddhists claim that they have retaliated from the Muslims after accusing a Muslim man of rapping a Buddhist woman and killing her.

The Burmese government acted in a very shameful way as it ordered to arrest 4 Muslims under the pretense that they may have participated in the rape act, but left killing the scholars with no one charged.

Later  on Friday June of 2012 the Burmese army surrounded all the mosques preventing the Muslims from doing any rallies and  from leaving the mosque in large numbers  after the event.  While the Muslims were leaving the mosque from the Friday prayer the Buddhists were there throwing stones at them, which incited huge fights between both sides, and later the Army imposed a siege in the area.

The siege was imposed on the Muslims with a fist of iron, while the Buddhists were walking around with knives, and burning the homes over the heads of its people in front of the eyes of the Burmese government.

 

Many Arakan Muslims started running away during the night to Bangladesh and other nearby countries, while many sank in the sea.  Unfortunately some Muslim countries have actually returned these Muslims that came to them asking for help back. See this video where Bangle armies return the Muslims back, while the Arakan Muslims beg for their life.

And today more than 10 million Muslims are facing ethnic cleansing, massacres where woman and children are brutally killed.
