Ansar Al-Sharia declare its intention to execute the 73 captured soldiers
Ansar Al-Sharia declared in a press release that it distributed today that it intends to execute the 73 Yemeni soldiers who were captured after the battle of Dofas. The statement said: 'After the intransigence of the government and its lack of response regarding the soldiers and since the Sharia gives a choice regarding the combatant prisoner, which is either execution or enslavement or releasing or ransom. It has been decided to implement on them the death penalty beginning from next Monday – 30 April.
That comes after local sources have reported that group declared through loudspeakers in the city of Jaar in the province of Abyan that it decided to execute the 73 captured soldiers of the Yemeni army in the end of April, it also distributed posters on the walls declaring the sentence and the date of its implementation.
On the other hand, Madad News Agency reported that two mujahidin from Ansar Al-Sharia were killed in a US drone attack that occurred in yesterday's evening in the Wilayah of Shabwa.
Ansar Al-Sharia stated that the drone shelled a car carrying four mujahidin in the district of Abdan in the Wilayah of Shabwa, which resulted in two martyrs and two injured.
This attack comes after 24 hours from a similar attack to another car for the mujahidin in the province of Marib which resulted in the death of three mujahidin
