Made lawful to you this day are At-Tayyibat [all kinds of Halal (lawful) foods, which Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, etc., milk products, fats, vegetables and fruits, etc.). The food (slaughtered cattle, eatable animals, etc.) of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) is lawful to you and yours is lawful to them. (Lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before your time, when you have given their due Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), desiring chastity (i.e. taking them in legal wedlock) not committing illegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them as girl-friends. And whosoever disbelieves in the Oneness of Allah and in all the other Articles of Faith [i.e. His (Allah's), Angels, His Holy Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], then fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.

It is a matter of concern that such cases are inviting media's attention in which Muslim men and women are shown standing in a queue in front of a temple; some are shown bowing down before an idol; some are seen accepting prasad by forming a part of queue. It clearly indicates that the foundation of 'tauheed' has weakened in our hearts.
Ugadi is the celebrated on the occasion of Telugu New Year. They believe that by doing God's puja on Ugadi one can get good son-in-law, the daughter gets married in a good family. Hence special puja is arranged in the temples on that day.
This time it was telecast on the television that even Muslim men and women were visiting a temple at Kadapa. Some Muslim women were breaking coconuts, while others were forming a queue before the temple. Some were making rounds of the idols while others were accepting prasad from the pundit. The TV channel was repeatedly showing the videos of these burqa-clad women as a mark of national integrity and unity among religions.
Sadly the nation which was the source of guidance to others has now gone astray. The only belief which draws a line of distinction between Islam and other religions is 'Tauheed' the oneness of Allah. Which means that there is only one God. Birth and death, provisions, health and illness, everything is in His hands; there is no other power except His. There is no separate God of power, no goddess of education and nor is a God of marriage. Muslims should pray and ask only from Allah they should bow down before none except Allah.
But with these types of incidents it seems that the Muslims are falling prey to beliefs of non Muslims.
Such types of incidents are a matter of concern and provides food for thought for Islamic thinkers, scholars, preachers and reformers. They expose our negligence with regard to society reformation and religious preaching.
