After all, I symbolize the dignity of your nation,
You are deriving your prestige from my name;
After all, in me is resting your collective will,
From me are flowing your honor and shame.
PEOPLE OF INDIA:
We lament your decay, we weep over your fate,
We always wanted to respect your sacred fame;
But now the corrupt and criminals are your breed,
Tell us ,how we must place you above all the blame.?
PARLIAMENT:
I confess my guilt, Oh the lovely people of this land,
With crime and corruption, my degeneration came;
But still there are many who are honest and clean ,
I entreat you, not to think, all my members are same.
PEOPLE OF INDIA:
It was your duty to keep your sanctity since your birth,
But now to your privileges, you have lost all your claim;
We have got the right to call you as a ' body of thieves '
Still it is time for you to show us your holy burning flame.
