Re: [karachi-Friends] More Americans Are hungry Today than the Chinese

We are hungry and millions of us are jobless, because we are apologists and defenders of fake democracy  and women's rights and we are always out of the way ready to make nassarra happy and to make Allah, angry. On the other hand all our neighbors in Asia listen to the needs of their countrymen. Just like Turkey and therefore Turkey is great.

Islam gives same rights to women as men, UN advisor says

14   October 2011, Friday TODAY'S ZAMAN, İSTANBUL

Islam gives the same rights to women as men, which is contrary to the image in Westerners' minds about a woman's status in Islam, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General Nafis Sadik told the Anatolia news agency on Friday.

During an official visit to Turkey, Sadık said, "Being a Pakistani woman, I have had many chances to observe the women's rights issue in Islamic countries; the religion of Islam gives equal rights to women."

She added that women should do whatever necessary to acquire the rights that Islam gives them.

Emphasizing that there is a negative image in Western countries about the role of women in Islam, Sadik said, "In the Western world when people think of a Muslim person, the image of a Muslim man with four helpless women behind him comes to mind, but this image doesn't reflect reality," adding that "when reporters find out I'm a Muslim woman, they are usually surprised because they don't believe that a Muslim woman can be successful and hold a high position as I do."

She also mentioned that she grew up under strict religious rules but had the same rights as her brothers, going on to say that "although my father was a religious man, he didn't at all restrict my education and my choice of who to marry."

Women have the right to divorce in marriage, and Islam defends the rights of women, Sadik asserted.

Regarding the recent increase in violence against women in Turkey, Sadik said, "Fighting against violence towards women is very important; politicians, lawyers, nongovernmental organizations, media and especially women themselves should cooperate in order to solve this problem in Turkey," and added that stricter laws should be adopted to punish those who abuse women and that tougher laws against known abusers should be adopted to protect women at risk.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

See when people of countries like  USA are suffering from hunger and destitution, Allah SWT has blessed us with best quality wheat, rice and fruits.

Yesterday I went to fruit market and saw apples of so many kinds, red, pink, green and yellow. Grapes and promenades were also adoring the shops. One was unable to decide what to take and what to leave.

Do you understand now why Allah SWT is angry with us? We are an awfully thankless lot:

The number of Americans who lack access to basic necessities like food and health care is now higher than it was at the peak of the Great Recession, a survey released Thursday found. And in a finding that could worsen fears of U.S. decline, the share of Americans struggling to put food on the table is now three times as large as the share of the Chinese population in the same position.
The United States' Basic Index Score, a Gallup measure of access to necessities, fell to 81.4 in September--even lower than the 81.5 mark it reached in February and March, 2009. The recession officially ended in June of that year, but the halting recovery hasn't given a sustained boost to the number of Americans able to provide for themselves. The government reported last month that a record number of Americans is living in poverty.
Between September 2008 and last month, the share of Americans with access to a personal doctor plummeted from 82.5 percent to 78.3 percent. The share with health insurance fell from 85.9 percent to 82.3 percent. And the share saying they had enough money to buy food for themselves and their family dropped from 81.1 percent to 80.1 percent. Gallup's surveys are based on phone and in-person interviews.
Meanwhile, Gallup found that just 6 percent of Chinese said there were times in the past 12 months when they lacked enough money for food for themselves or their family, compared to 19 percent of Americans. Just three years ago, those results were almost reversed: 16 percent of Chinese couldn't put food on the table at times, compared to 9 percent of Americans.
