[karachi-Friends] A message to pass on ...

assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

I have been hearing a lot for a long time about which group is correct and whom to follow. It seems so confusing. However we have this group mentioned right in the Qur'aan.

In Qur'aan there are Aayaat from Surah al-Maidah which speaks about this victorious group. However before we go through the qualities of this group, let us see what Allaah (subhaana wa t'aala) is warning us against, that if we do, then we will be out of this group.

See Tafseer Ibn Katheer for more details.

First Aayah 5:51

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily God guideth not a people unjust.

The people in this group will not take Jews and Christians as friends and protectors. If they do so then these people are not from the victorious group.

Second Aayah 5:52

Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps God will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts.

The people mentioned in the Aayah 52 take Jews and Christians as their friends and protectors because they are afraid that if they do not do then they might get ruined. They are afraid of their military and have inferiority complex from their achievement in this world.

Second Aayah 5:53

And those who believe will say: "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by God, that they were with you?" All that they do will be in vain, and they will fall into (nothing but) ruin.

The believers will defy them for their actions. In fact they will get ruin if they do take Jews and Christians as their helper and protector.

So who are these people and hat are the qualities of this victorious group?

O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will God produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of God, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of God, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And God encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things. (5:54)

1.      Soon will God produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him

Now all the people claims this to be true. Every group says that they love Allaah and Allaah loves them. Whether they are Sufis, Shias, Ahl al-Hadeeth, Salafi, Ahmediyah etc. they all claim the above mentioned point to be theirs. Well, let's move to the other criterias and see which group fits in.

2.      Lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters

This group is humble towards the believers (mu'mineen) and mighty i.e. stern against the rejecters (disbelievers – the verse in Arabic says Kaafireen). Which group we find that is humble towards the believers and they are very tough towards the kaafirs? The people in this group do not turn their brothers (Muslims) to the police of kuffars, or to their enemies, or for the enemies they put them into prison etc.

3.      Fighting in the way of God

Now is this very difficult to know? Who is the group who is fighting for the sake of Allaah? Which group goes to help the Muslims in need, to free from the Taghut? Which group goes to help the Muslims if the enemy occupies Muslim's land? This point makes it most clear.

4.      And never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault.

No matter what the media says, no matter what the puppet of Kuffar says, no matter whoever finds fault with them, they don't care, they just don't care about it. They are never afraid of anything but Allaah ('azzawajal).

I think the point has been made and the un-biased may be guided. I ask Allaah (subhaana wa t'aala) to guide us all to the Straight Path. The path that He (subhaana wa t'aala) loves and not to the path of those who has earned His (subhaana wa t'aala) anger and not to the path of those who went astray.
