CAIR-Florida is pleased to announce that our Immigration and Asylum Lawyer, Floyd Huntz* is offering free legal help with the TPS application.
*Floyd Huntz, Esq is admitted to the NY Bar and not yet admitted to the Florida Bar. He is authorized to practice Immigration Law in Florida.
TPS stands for Temporary Protected Status. With Temporary Protected Status people may stay in the US and work legally. Any Syrian national or stateless person (Palestinian) who last resided in Syria who is currently in the United States and arrived on or before June 17, 2013 qualify for this status.
The only cost may be USCIS filing costs for TPS, which is generally $515 if you are seeking work authorization. Fee waivers may be submitted, however, for low-income applicants.
The application for TPS for Syrians is open until December 16th, 2013.
