پتّوں کی طرح شاخ  پہ مرنا  پڑا مجھے

موسم کے ساتھ ساتھ گزرنا پڑا مجھے

اک شخص کے سلوک کی سب کو سزا ملی

ساری محبتوں سے مکرنا پڑا مجھے

اُس سے بچھڑ کے زندگی آسان تو نہیں

پھر بھی یہ تلخ فیصلہ کرنا پڑا مجھے

کچھ دن تو میں چٹان کی صورت ڈٹی رہی

پھر ریزہ ریزہ ہو کے بکھرنا پڑا مجھے

آساں نہیں تھا ٹوٹتی سانسوں کو جوڑنا

اس سلسلے میں جاں سے گزرنا پڑا مجھے

ویسے میں اپنے آپ سے ناراص تھی قمر

اس نے کہا تو بننا سنورنا پڑا مجھے
