After college he joined the United States Peace Corps and served for over two years in Morocco.  He worked in a local Youth Center and integrated into two local Moroccan communities.  He learned to speak Arabic fluently.  He found the people very welcoming and gained a deep respect for Moroccan culture, in particular the religion of Islam.
